On February 15, 2025, Vitebsk State Medical University (VSMU) in Belarus hosted a vibrant celebration to mark Sri Lanka’s 77th Independence Day. The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of Sri Lanka, featuring traditional dances, music and speeches. Sri Lankan Medical Students’ Union at VSMU played a pivotal role in organizing the festivities, highlighting the strong educational and cultural ties between Sri Lanka and Belarus. This celebration not only honored Sri Lanka’s independence but also fostered cross-cultural understanding and camaraderie within the university community.
